Order Terms

Each altar is handcrafted to order. Minor natural variations in wood grain, colour and texture are part of the character of the piece, not defects.

Orders are placed with the site's order form, which takes no payment. We confirm the order, the exact dimensions and the payment method with you by email before production begins. Payment is agreed in writing as part of the order confirmation.

Altars are made in order of purchase, in small workshop batches. The current production and delivery estimate is 12–20 weeks from order. If your order is delayed beyond this window, you will be notified immediately.

Because each altar is made specifically for you, cancellations are not accepted once production has begun. Before production begins, an order can be cancelled free of charge. If Temple Artisan is unable to fulfil your order for any reason, any payments already made will be refunded in full.

The altar table is made in the dimensions you choose. Standard sizes: width 40, 50, 60 or 75 cm, depth 40, 50 or 60 cm (never more than the width), and height 40, 50 or 72 cm. The S/M/L price class is set by the longer side of the tabletop. A width or depth deviating from the standard options, within the class limits, is made to measure with a surcharge of 15% of the class's standard price (charged once). Tabletops wider than 75 cm or deeper than 60 cm are XL commissions, always priced individually. The top wood can be substituted with other hardwoods (ash, elm, mahogany, walnut) at separate pricing.

Altars are shipped insured with tracking. Domestic delivery 1–3 days. International delivery 3–7 days. Shipping costs are confirmed at the time of order. Customers outside the EU are responsible for any import duties or taxes applicable in their country.

If your altar arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and the piece immediately and contact us within 48 hours. We will repair or replace the piece at no cost to you.
